Gotham City Jiu Jitsu, located in the heart of League City, Texas, operates as a proud affiliate of The Darkside, boasting a lineage traced back to multi-time ADCC champion Dean Lister. Gotham City is a competition-focused gym; students are not merely participants but competitors, encouraged to test their skills in competition. Embracing a culture of competition, Gotham City fosters an environment where students are empowered to test their skills on the mats and beyond.

Head instructor Chris Bake’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) journey is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of martial arts. A Darkside purple belt under the esteemed mentorship of Victor Pozas, with a lineage tracing back to the legendary Dean Lister, Chris has conquered the challenges of the mat and overcame immense obstacles off it.
From the Mat to Life
Our specialized Jiu-Jitsu classes for children aged 4 and up not only introduces them to the fundamentals of self-defense but also instills qualities of dedication and discipline. Join us in fostering a sense of achievement, camaraderie, and self-discovery on the mats!
Self-Defense Skills
Hopefully your kid will never need them, but should your child need to defend themselves from the school bully or an attacker later in life Jiu-Jitsu will give them the ability to do so.
